Pickin' Up the Pieces volunteers have made three trips to the area so far this year! We have had two groups go down to help with the demolition of one house and the demolition and rebuilding of another. Volunteers literally "picked up the pieces" of the lives of Pat and Harry Wilson of Pearlington, MS. We are proud to report that on Friday, February 10th, the Wilson's were able to spend their 1st night in their newly renovated home thanks to the hard work of our Volunteers. They were the first family in Pearlington, MS to move back into their home!
Another February highlight was a trip to Harrison Co, MS to deliver over 100 Valentine care packages collected and prepared by students of AASU. The packages were delivered to the very appreciative children and teachers of the Harrison County School District in Mississippi. We are proud to have been a part of that.
