A group of 12 volunteers traveled to Pearlington, Ms to continue our effort in rebuilding the homes of those that have lost everything.  Volunteers were co-ordinated through St. Joseph/Candler by Sheri Estes, MSN, RN, Director of Mission Services, Candler Hospital, Savannah, GA.

August in Pearlington is very similiar to that in Savannah.  The days were long and hot yet very rewarding.  Volunteers were stunned to see that nearly 2 years had passed (August 29, 2005) and there is still so much to do...so many families falling through the cracks.  You really have to see it for yourself to truly understand the magnitude of what has happend and what continues to exist,
